Rev. Timothy Wright

Reverend Timothy Wright was a prolific gospel director with a lifelong dedication to choir music. Starting his musical journey at the St. John's Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God in Brooklyn, Wright went on to play piano for Bishop F.D. Washington before joining Rev. Isaac Douglas and the N.Y. Community Choir. In the '70s, he formed the Timothy Wright Concert Choir and collaborated with various choirs across the U.S. Wright also released several albums, including the Grammy-nominated "Come Thou Almighty King," before tragically passing away in April 2009 at the age of 61 following a car accident that claimed the lives of his wife and grandson.
