RaVaughn Brown, a contemporary R&B singer and songwriter, gained prominence as a background vocalist in the late 2000s, contributing to albums for artists such as Jessica Simpson, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, and Kelly Clarkson. She later collaborated with Glee and artists like Cheryl Cole and CeeLo Green. Signed to Ne-Yo's Compound University label, Brown released tracks like "Same Ol' BS" and "Better Be Good," the latter with Wale, which charted on Billboard's R&B Airplay chart. Despite plans for a debut album with Columbia, Brown's focus shifted to behind-the-scenes work and performances with Femmology.
