Rae Sremmurd is a trap music duo consisting of brothers Swae Lee (Khalif Brown) and Slim Jxmmi (Aaquil Brown). They gained recognition in 2013 with their debut single "We" and achieved mainstream success with their chart-topping album SremmLife in 2015, which included hits like "No Flex Zone" and "No Type." Their subsequent releases, such as SremmLife 2 in 2016 and the triple-disc SR3MM in 2018, continued their commercial success, with standout tracks like "Black Beatles" and "Powerglide."
Born in Whittier, California, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi moved frequently during their childhood due to their mother's work in the United States Army.
