Radio Citizen

Berlin-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Niko Schabel founded Radio Citizen, whose debut album "Berlin Serengeti" in 2006 fused electronic music with elements of dub, hip-hop, soul-jazz, funk, and world music. Collaborating with vocalist Bajka and poet Ursula Rucker, the project released subsequent albums with a diverse array of influences. Moving to Sonar Kollektiv label for 2015's "The Night & the City," Radio Citizen continued to evolve their sound, culminating in the collaborative and flowing music of their fourth album "Silent Guide," released in November 2017 after a retreat to a mountain cabin in Austria.
