Polar Bear Club, hailing from Rochester, NY, formed in 2005 when vocalist Jimmy Stadt and guitarist Chris Browne began playing together. After releasing their EP "The Redder, the Better" in 2006, the band's blend of '90s post-hardcore and emo caught the attention of fans and critics alike. The full-length album "Sometimes Things Just Disappear" was well-received in 2008, leading them to tour with bands such as the Gaslight Anthem and A Wilhelm Scream. By 2009, Polar Bear Club had signed with Bridge Nine Records and released their sophomore album "Chasing Hamburg," showcasing their growth and working with producer Matt Bayles. The year ended with the band touring alongside Face to Face and Strike Anywhere.
