Biography

Poison, formed in 1984 by Bret Michaels, Bobby Dall, Rikki Rockett, and C.C. Deville, gained popularity for their pop-metal hits and flamboyant stage presence. The band's commercial peak came with the success of their albums "Open Up & Say...Ahhh!" in 1988 and "Flesh and Blood" in 1990. Internal conflicts led to lineup changes, including the departure and return of Deville, and the band's sound evolved over the years.

After a tumultuous period in the '90s, Poison regrouped and continued to tour and release music, capitalizing on frontman Bret Michaels' success in reality TV. The band's later releases, including "Hollyweird" in 2002 and "Poison'd!" in 2007, maintained their presence in the rock scene, supported by a loyal fan base.
