Biography

Pedro Suárez-Vértiz discovered his passion for music and guitar in his teenage years, drawing inspiration from iconic bands like The Beatles and the Rolling Stones. He formed his first band, Paranoia, while still in school, and later founded Arena Hash in 1987, releasing two albums. After graduating in Communications from the University of Lima, Pedro embarked on a solo career, recording albums for Sony Music Miami and Sony Music Perú.

In 2004, Pedro released his album "Play" with Solver Label, featuring the international hit "Cuando pienses en volver." He continued his musical journey with releases like "TalkShow" in 2007 and "Amazonas" in 2009, produced by Thom Russo. Pedro Suárez-Vértiz faced health challenges in 2007 when he was diagnosed with disarthria, leading to difficulties in speech and coordination. Despite his condition, he formed PEDRO SUáREZ-VéRTIZ®LA BANDA in 2014. Pedro passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 54. For inquiries, contact [email protected].
