When Paco Amoroso burst onto the scene with CA7RIEL, it seemed that anything they did would be a success on the edge of the bizarre, yet with a high level of precision in performance and interpretation. Paco, a sort of dandy rollinga, exuded a strange swing in his singing and movements, confidently seducing as if at a party to which he wasn't invited. Following their sold-out show at Obras in late 2019, a hyper-visual and sonically impactful event, the duo took a pause, leading to questions about the division of their assets.

Paco appears to have taken on the less direct references from their partnership. Moving away from trap sounds, in SAETA, he embraces electronic music in a move that may distance him from the scene but undoubtedly brings him closer to his own signature style. "Switch" kicks off the collaborations on the album with a challenging figure: Adrián Dárgelos. The synergy between the quirky and popular, Paco and Dárgelos find alchemy in shared interests like psychedelic discontent, seduction, and club sounds. Collaborations with Babasónicos' frontman and El Doctor, the most marginal of all trap artists, showcase the range of possibilities Paco explores, as if SAETA was conceived for an idealized and eternal Ibiza, with all the nuances of a complete trance experience.
