Biography
The multinational hip-hop trio Outlandish, consisting of Isam Bachiri, Lenny Martinez, and Waqas Qadri, originated in Copenhagen's western suburbs in 1997. Their music, known as a "socio-cultural melting pot," gained critical acclaim with their debut album, Outland's Official. The success of singles like "Walou" propelled Outlandish to international stardom, leading to chart-topping collaborations and gold and platinum records. Their 2005 release, Closer Than Veins, showcased their musical versatility and social consciousness, solidifying their place in the music industry.
In the years following, Outlandish released albums such as Sound of a Rebel and Warrior//Worrier, with hit singles like "Rock All Day" and "Warrior" garnering a dedicated fan base. After a break in 2016, Waqas and Lenny reunited in 2018 to work on new music, culminating in the upcoming release of a new Outlandish album in 2022.
