Omega

Antonio Peter de la Rosa, known by his stage name Omega "El Fuerte" or simply Omega, is a Dominican singer and songwriter based in Santo Domingo. Since 2007, Omega has gained popularity in the Dominican Republic, among Dominicans in the United States, as well as in music markets in Spain, Italy, and Latin America. He is credited with pioneering and popularizing a new style of Merengue known as Merengue Urbano or Merengue de Calle, blending traditional Merengue with hip-hop, rap, and R&B influences. This genre has influenced artists from various backgrounds, including Pitbull and Shakira.
