Biography

Formed in Fort Worth, Texas in 2006 by ex-members of Terminal, Oh, Sleeper quickly rose to prominence in the metalcore scene with their tech-heavy sound and clean/scream vocals. Their discography includes hit albums like When I Am God (2007) and Son of the Morning (2009) before going on hiatus in 2013. They made a triumphant return in 2019 with the release of their fourth studio album, Bloodied/Unbowed. The band has undergone lineup changes over the years, with founding members Micah Kinard and Shane Blay remaining as core members of the group.

Inspired by a passage from the New Testament, Oh, Sleeper signed with Solid State Records in 2007 and released their debut full-length album, When I Am God. The band's concept-driven albums like Son of the Morning and Children of Fire solidified their place in the genre, with the latter reaching number one on the hard rock albums chart. Despite facing challenges such as member departures and the passing of co-founder Lucas Starr in 2018, Oh, Sleeper continued to push forward and returned to the music scene with new singles and their highly anticipated album, Bloodied/Unbowed.
