German composer and musician Nils Frahm merges acoustic and electronic instruments, primarily focusing on pianos and synthesizers. His diverse discography includes solo piano compositions, melodic synthesizer pieces, and soundtrack work, with notable releases such as Streichelfisch (2005), Wintermusik (Sonic Pieces), and the acclaimed Felt (2011). Collaborating with artists like Ólafur Arnalds and releasing through Erased Tapes, Frahm's live album Spaces (2013) garnered significant acclaim. In 2015, he composed his first film score for the German movie Victoria and released the album Solo on "World Piano Day."
Continuing his prolific career, Nils Frahm revisited his album Screws with a remix collection in 2016, and also delved into collaborations with artists like F.S. Blumm and Woodkid for various projects. In 2018, after establishing a studio in Berlin, Frahm returned with the solo album All Melody, followed by an extensive world tour.
