Twin sisters Niki & Gabi began their career with a popular teen-lifestyle video channel, showcasing their contrasting personalities. Transitioning to music, they released their debut EP, "Individual," in 2018, which reached number 14 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Prior to their music career, the sisters gained fame on YouTube with humor-related videos and beauty tutorials, amassing a large following with content ranging from makeup testing to dating tips.

Niki & Gabi DeMartino, known for their distinctive styles and personalities, evolved from creating song parodies and humor videos to releasing atmospheric pop music. Their YouTube channel, launched in 2012 during high school, covered various topics including fashion and makeup, eventually leading to the release of their original songs like "It" in 2015 and "First" in 2017.
