Biography
Born as Nikolaus Presnik on April 6, 1962 in Friesach, Carinthia, music has been his lifelong passion since childhood. At the age of 15, he purchased a guitar to play the songs of his idols John Lennon and John Denver, eventually forming his first band at 19. Sixteen years later in 1997, Nik P. released his debut album, which included hits like "Gloria" and "Ein Stern, der deinen Namen trägt," the latter earning him numerous accolades including ten-times Gold status and the ECHO award in 2007. This breakthrough track has become one of the most successful Schlager songs of all time, covered and translated into over 15 languages.
