Nicolette Larson

Nicolette Larson's music career began as a backup vocalist for country-rock acts before launching her solo career in the late '70s with the hit song "Lotta Love." She transitioned into country music in the mid-'80s, achieving success with multiple hits before moving into semi-retirement.

Born in Montana, Larson moved to San Francisco after high school, where she began performing in clubs and eventually caught the attention of Commander Cody & the Lost Planet Airmen. She went on to sing with various artists and released her debut album, Nicolette, in 1978, which included the hit single "Lotta Love." Larson later ventured into country music, earning accolades but facing commercial challenges. She continued to perform and collaborate with other artists until her passing in 1997.
