Biography
Mustasch is a Swedish heavy metal band originating from Gothenburg, consisting of Ralf Gyllenhammar, Hannes Hansson, Mats "Stam" Johansson, and Mats "Dojan" Hansson. Formed in 1998, they gained attention with a demo recording session on the island of Orust, leading to a contract with EMI Music Sweden. Their debut EP, "The True Sound of the New West," in 2001, was followed by successful albums like "Above All" (2002) and "Ratsafari" (2003), which earned them Swedish Grammy nominations. Mustasch's third album, "Powerhouse" (2005), peaked in the Top Ten and marked the end of their EMI contract. Upon signing with Regain Records, they released "Latest Version of the Truth," which achieved commercial success and their first Swedish Grammy win with hits like "Double Nature" and "Bring Me Everyone." A compilation album, "Lowlife Highlights" (2008), showcased their career achievements.
