MusicAeterna

Founded in 2004 in Novosibirsk, Russia, by conductor Teodor Currentzis, the musicAeterna orchestra and choir are renowned for their innovative approach to music. Originally the resident ensemble of the Perm Opera from 2011 to 2019, musicAeterna is now an independent institution based in St. Petersburg, boasting a diverse lineup of musicians from 20 Russian cities and 12 countries. With a versatile repertoire that spans various genres and eras, the ensemble has performed in prestigious venues worldwide, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Philharmonie de Paris, and La Scala Milan.

Known for their boundary-pushing performances, musicAeterna collaborates with esteemed stage directors such as Robert Wilson, Romeo Castellucci, and Peter Sellars, establishing a strong presence at renowned international festivals like the Salzburger Festspiele and Lucerne Festival. The orchestra and choir continue to captivate audiences globally, showcasing their exceptional talent and musical prowess on a grand scale.
