Biography
Mt. Wolf, an English dream pop band, creates an atmospheric fusion of chamber pop, folk, electronic, and R&B that draws comparisons to artists like James Blake, Bat for Lashes, Bon Iver, and Beach House. Formed in 2011, they released their debut EP, Life Size Ghosts, in 2012, followed by Hypolight in 2013. After the departure of co-founder Kate Sproule in 2014, the band regrouped as a trio with vocalist Sebastian "Bassi" Fox, guitarist Stevie McMinn, and drummer Al Mitchell.
In 2015, Mt. Wolf returned with a new EP, Red, featuring Fox's distinctive vocals and newcomer Alexa Harley. The trio released their fourth EP, Hex, in 2016 and their debut album, Aetherlight, in May 2017, produced by Ken Thomas (Sigur Rós, M83). The band's elegant and brooding sound has garnered praise from critics and audiences alike.
