Mr Black El Presidente

Mr. Black, also known as Edwin Antonio Antequera Mercado, is a Colombian artist, singer, composer, producer, and musical arranger specializing in Champeta music. Growing up in Cartagena, he developed a passion for music through the "Pick_Up" sound systems, instilling a love for performing in front of large crowds from a young age. Starting his musical career in 1998 with hits like "Los Trapitos Al Agua" and "Braulio," Mr. Black has become a pioneer in the Champeta genre, blending traditional sounds with elements of dancehall, electronic, and folk music to create a new style known as Urban Champeta.

Hailing from the popular neighborhood of Olaya Herrera in Cartagena, Mr. Black has cemented his status as a leading figure in Champeta music, with an extensive discography and a unique musical vision that has garnered international acclaim.
