Biography

Established in 1992, MOONSPELL quickly became a prominent figure in European Metal, contributing a unique Portuguese touch to the global Heavy Metal scene. Celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2022, the band embarked on a world tour with special performances in Porto and Lisbon.

Having gained recognition with their EP Under the Moonspell and the acclaimed Wolfheart in 1995, MOONSPELL continued to captivate audiences with releases like Irreligious in 1996. Maintaining a strong presence in the music industry, the band consistently tours worldwide, offering diverse music experiences to their devoted fan base across the globe. Currently touring European Summer festivals, MOONSPELL is also working on a follow-up to their well-received album Hermitage (2021) while preserving their legacy through reissues of early works, such as The Antidote (2003) and making their debut demo Anno Satanæ (1993) available digitally for the first time.
