MJG

MJG, one half of the influential Southern rap duo 8Ball & MJG, gained legendary status through their pioneering work together, including the milestone album Comin' Out Hard. The duo, formed in 1984 in Memphis, TN, released a series of successful albums in the '90s, propelling them to the forefront of the Southern rap scene and influencing future acts like Three 6 Mafia and Master P. MJG also ventured into solo projects, releasing albums like No More Glory (1997) before joining Bad Boy Records for the release of Living Legends (2004), their most commercially successful album.

After leaving Suave Records in the 2000s, 8Ball & MJG signed with JCOR Entertainment for the album Space Age 4 Eva, showcasing a departure from their regional sound with production from notable names like Swizz Beatz and DJ Quik. Despite label troubles, the duo continued their music journey, finding success with singles like "Pimp Hard" and "Buck Bounce" and eventually signing with Bad Boy Records for the release of Living Legends, which became their best-selling album to date.
