MFÖ

MFÖ, consisting of Mazhar Alanson (vocals), Fuat Güner (guitar), and Özkan Uğur (bass), were influential figures in Turkish music. Formed in the mid-'60s, the trio initially collaborated in various bands before joining forces in 1976 as MFÖ. Their debut album, Ele Güne Karşı Yapayalnız, released in 1984, marked a significant success, earning them accolades and establishing their place in Turkish music history.

Throughout the '80s and '90s, MFÖ released several albums, with notable hits like "Gozyaslarimizi Bitti Mi Sandin?" and "Bazen." Despite facing challenges, including a Eurovision Song Contest disappointment, the band maintained a strong presence in the Turkish music scene. Following a period of creative output, MFÖ transitioned to live performances and individual projects. The band's legacy continued with releases like The MFÖ Collection in 2003 and the album AGU in 2006, reflecting the enduring impact of their music. Özkan Uğur, the bassist, passed away in 2023 at the age of 69.
