Biography
Tony and Matt Lovato, childhood friends from Chicago, formed the punk band Mest in high school with Jeremiah Rangel and Nick Gigler. After self-releasing their debut album, they caught the attention of Goldfinger's John Feldmann, leading to a record deal and the release of their major-label debut, "Wasting Time," in 2000. The band's subsequent albums featured collaborations with artists like Young MC and Good Charlotte's Benji Madden, before disbanding in 2006 following a final tour.
Despite setbacks like exhaustion and surgery, Mest continued to tour and release music until their breakup in 2006. A brief reunion in later years reignited the band's career, resulting in the release of their album "Not What You Expected" in 2013.
