Melina León

Melina León, a talented singer from Puerto Rico, began her music career at a young age by participating in festivals and music contests. At 15, she joined the group Las Cheris and later formed the female act Ruby, releasing an album under Musical Productions. Discovered by a local label executive, León released her debut album Mujeres Liberadas in 1997, followed by Con Los Pies Sobre La Tierra in 1998, which helped her rise in the Puerto Rican music scene. Her hit songs "Me Voy De Fiesta" and "Te Amo" showcased her talent as both a singer and a composer. León's success continued with the release of Baño de Luna, earning her the award for Best Female Merengue Record at the Premios Tu Musica 2000.
