Mediavolo

Mediavolo, a band formed in 1999 with five members, released an EP titled "Perdu dans l’espace" and an album called "Soleil Sans Retour" before transitioning into a duet. Comprised of lyricist and lead singer Géraldine, who had previous experience in various music styles, and composer, performer, arranger, and producer Jacques, Mediavolo collaborated with three additional musicians for live performances.

Between 2006 and 2010, Mediavolo released three albums and garnered recognition for their dream pop, shoegaze, and ethereal wave sound, though they identify as rooted in "Art pop" influenced by rock music from the '60s to the '90s. In 2012, the duo began an electronic side project, putting Mediavolo on hold until 2016 when they resumed songwriting for their latest release, "Away Within." Coincidentally, their song "Mass Anaesthesia" from the 2006 album gained popularity on TikTok, resulting in millions of streams just as the new album was set for release.
