Biography
Belo Horizonte-born Luís Henrique Braz, also known as MC Braz, kickstarted his music career at 14 by writing lyrics in school. Despite initial challenges in production and networking, he gradually immersed himself in BH's funk scene, collaborating with DJs and MCs through small labels. In 2017, he joined the local record label Funk Explode, releasing hits like "Não Nasci pra me Apegar" and later delving into the emerging "Funk de BH" genre with tracks such as "Procedimento" and "Mina Mercenária."
By 2022, after five years with Funk Explode, MC Braz transitioned to an independent artist, with his debut solo track "Kikando e Me Olhando" quickly soaring to the top of streaming charts. In 2023, he embarked on his album "Beagá," a monthly release series honoring his hometown with special guest features. Presently, MC Braz continues to release singles, diversify his sound, and engage with new audiences.
