Michal Matczak, known by his stage name Mata, is a Polish rapper and songwriter born in 2000. In early 2020, Mata released his debut studio album "100 dni do matury" (100 days to graduation), which achieved diamond disc status.
In 2021, Mata gained significant recognition with the release of the single "Patoreakcja" (Patoreaction), setting a daily streaming record in Poland on Spotify. He made history as the first Polish artist to enter the Billboard 200 Excluding US list with "Kiss cam (podryw roku)" and became the most popular artist in Poland on Spotify. Additionally, his single "JESTEM POJ384NY" set a record for the highest number of listens within the first 24 hours on Spotify in Poland.
Matczak's achievements continued in 2023 when he participated in Adidas' global campaign alongside international stars. He also released his first independent single "GiEwOnT" and shared the EP "2038: WARSZAWA" with his audience in December of the same year.
