Biography

French DJ Martin Solveig, born Martin Picandet, began his music career at a young age, transitioning from singing in the church choir to exploring electronic music by age 13. After gaining experience in local record stores and clubs in Paris, Solveig collaborated with Bob Sinclar on the hit track "Edony" for the Africanism album in 2001. He released his debut album, Sur la Terre, in 2002, blending live and electronic elements inspired by African rhythms.

Solveig's subsequent albums, including Hedonist in 2005 and C'est la Vie in 2008, led to mainstream success with his fourth album, Smash, in 2011. The album featured the chart-topping hit "Hello" with Dragonette, catching the attention of Madonna, who later collaborated with Solveig on her album MDNA. Post-MDNA, Solveig continued to release music, collaborating with various artists on singles like "Intoxicated" and "Places" in the following years.
