Marsha Ambrosius, known for her soulful ballads and R&B hits, gained recognition for co-writing Michael Jackson's "Butterflies" before launching a successful career as one-half of Floetry and eventually as a solo artist. Originally from Liverpool and raised in London, Marsha Ambrosius met her musical partner Natalie Stewart while attending the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Their duo, Floetry, achieved critical acclaim with albums like Floetic (2002) and Flo'Ology (2005), earning Grammy nominations for their distinctive sound. Following a period of solo and collaborative projects, including work with Dr. Dre, Ambrosius released her third solo album, Nyla (2018), which debuted at number 18 on the independent chart. Her latest project, Casablanco (2024), produced in collaboration with Dr. Dre, exemplifies her continued dedication to creating soulful, heartfelt music.
