Maria Gad├║, born Mayra Correa, is a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. She gained critical and commercial success with her debut album "Maria Gad├║" in 2009, which led to multiple award nominations, including a Grammy Latino. In 2010, a live version of the album was released on CD and DVD.
In 2011, Gadú embarked on a tour with Caetano Veloso, resulting in the live album "Caetano e Maria Gadú - Multishow ao Vivo". Later that year, she released her second studio album, "Mais Uma Página". Her third studio album, "Guelã," was released in 2016, followed by a live recording in 2017 titled "Guelã ao Vivo" on CD and DVD.
Throughout her career, Gadú has delved into studies of anthropology, sociology, and Brazilian history, leading to her activism in indigenous, LGBTQIA+, feminist, and anti-racist causes. Her latest single, "Mundo Líquido," and its accompanying video were recorded in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, reflecting her exploration of indigenous roots and cultural symbols. From March 2019 to September 2021, Gadú worked on her fourth studio album, "Quem Sabe Isso Quer Dizer Amor."
