Marco Antonio Solís, a Mexican musician, gained prominence in the late 20th century for his contributions to Mexican and Latin music. Starting his career at a young age, Solís formed the group Los Hermanitos Solís with his brother Joel at 12, and later founded Los Bukis in the early '70s. He achieved success with platinum-certified solo albums in the mid-'90s, including Quiereme and Inalcanzable, followed by the release of Trozos de Mi Alma in 1999. Throughout the 2000s, Solís continued to release successful albums and singles, earning Grammy nominations and topping the Latin album charts.
In 2014, Solís released Gracias por Estar Aquí, which garnered multiple award nominations and marked his transition to an independent label after parting ways with Universal. His live project, Por Amor a Morelia Michoacan, showcased his hometown in a deluxe audio and video package released in 2015. Solís remains a prominent figure in Latin music, known for his chart-topping albums and acclaimed live performances.
