Manic Focus, led by John “JmaC” McCarten, is an electronic music project based in Denver that blends funk, soul, and hip-hop influences. With a dynamic style that merges blues and bass, Manic Focus has released six albums in the past six years, showcasing a continuous evolution in sound and approach. McCarten’s classical piano background and commitment to incorporating original recordings without samples are evident in his latest album, Lost in a Digital World, released in September 2019.
