Mamamoo is a South Korean quartet that debuted in the early 2010s under the RBW label. Comprised of singers Solar, Wheein Jung, and rappers Moon Byul-yi and Hwasa, they released their debut album "Hello" in 2014, followed by their first full-length album "Melting" in 2016. "Melting" reached number two in Korea and made it into the Top Ten on the U.S. World Albums chart.
In 2017, Mamamoo released the Purple EP, featuring the track "Yes I Am," which became their highest-charting and best-selling release, topping the U.S. World Albums chart and reaching number two in Korea. The following year, they achieved their first Korean chart-topper with the album "Yellow Flower," the first part of a four-part concept series inspired by seasons, colors, and natural elements. Their second installment, "Red Moon," included the single "Egotistic," which marked their entry onto the Billboard Heatseekers chart, peaking at number 25 upon release.
