Lunice, a key figure in blending hip-hop and dance music, rose to prominence in the late 2000s as a pioneer of the trap subgenre. Born in Montréal in 1988, Lunice transitioned from breakdancing to producing music and DJing at local events like Turbo Crunk, founded by his friend Jacques Greene. In 2010, he signed with LuckyMe and released his debut EP, Stacker Upper, followed by One Hunned in 2011, showcasing his talent for intricate yet refined beats.

In 2012, Lunice and LuckyMe co-founder Hudson Mohawke formed TNGHT, releasing a self-titled EP that garnered widespread acclaim and influenced many producers.
