Continuing his prolific output, he released a triptych of albums in 2020 and returned to his Wagon Christ alias with Recepticon, followed by acid-heavy efforts like 2023's Machine Funk.

Hailing from Redruth, Cornwall, England, Luke Vibert's music journey began with a punk band before delving into producing hip-hop and electronic music in the late '80s. Collaborating with Jeremy Simmonds for the IDM/neo-electro album Weirs in 1993, Vibert went on to release influential material as Wagon Christ and Plug before debuting his first solo album, Big Soup, in 1997. Throughout the 2000s, his diverse output under different aliases incorporated acid house elements, with notable releases like Stop the Panic and YosepH showcasing his fusion of '70s avant-electronics, electro, and acid. Vibert's later works, including Lover's Acid and Chicago, Detroit, Redruth, continued to evolve his sound, culminating in the playful and acid-infused GRIT. in 2022 and the release of Machine Funk in 2023.
