Luis y Julián Garza Arredondo, a renowned sibling corrido duo from Nuevo Leon, Mexico, have been recording and performing together since the early 1970s, amassing over 80 albums since 1975. Initially aspiring to write for other singers, they were encouraged to record their own songs after being turned down by Carlos y Jose. They found success on the Alto label in Texas before signing with DLV, where they released 12 albums between 1975 and 1982, later recording for various labels such as Falcón, Fonovisa, and Disa. Their hit songs, including "La Venganza de María" and "Pistoleros Famosos," have become classics in the corrido genre and their influence on Mexican Regional music is enduring.

Luis y Julián's career has seen them fill arenas in Mexico and the U.S., with their music featured in numerous Mexican films. Their albums like 2005's La Mejor...Coleccion, Vol. 1 and 2011's Corridos del Puritito Norte have made notable appearances on Latin Albums charts. While their pace has slowed in recent years, the duo continues to release at least two albums annually, with projects like Los Consentidos de Nuevo Leon in 2016 and collaborations with Carlos y Jose in 2017 showcasing their enduring popularity and creativity in the Mexican music scene.
