Los Palmeras are known for their representation of cumbia santafesina, a variant of cumbia originating from the province of Santa Fe. Since 2014, the band consists of Rubén Deicas (vocals), Marcos Camino (accordion, backing vocals, and group leader), Jorge Omar Grenón (keyboards and guitar), Gustavo Martínez (congas and backing vocals), Darien Grenon (timbales and percussion), and Silvio Medina (bass and backing vocals). They have released 45 albums and in 2017, recorded a compilation album with the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra featuring twenty of their most well-known songs.
