Los Huracanes del Norte, a prominent group in the regional Mexican music scene, have been active for over 40 years and have released more than 50 albums. Originally from Michoacán, the group formed in San Jose, California in 1969 with principal members Heraclio, Jesús, Francisco García, and Asunción Rubalcava. Their breakthrough came in 1978 with the release of La Musiquera, which earned them their first gold record. Los Huracanes del Norte have toured extensively in the U.S., Mexico, and Central America, gaining recognition for their unique norteño style.

Continuing their success into the 2010s, Los Huracanes del Norte have consistently charted well with albums like En Vivo Desde Monterrey, Soy Mexicana, and Como Un Huracan. In 2017, they celebrated 46 years together with the release of Alma Bohemia, solidifying their status as one of the leading groups in the norteño genre.
