Biography
Marcos Ortega, known professionally as Lorn, is an electronic producer, composer, and DJ hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Influenced by Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy," he began his music career with remixes before transitioning to longer, layered compositions. Signing with Wednesday Sound, he released several EPs before joining Brainfeeder and unveiling his acclaimed debut album, Nothing Else, in 2010. Lorn's evocative soundscapes have been featured in video games, TV shows, and tours with notable artists.
In 2012, Lorn released his sophomore album, Ask the Dust, on Ninja Tune, showcasing a new energy while maintaining his signature dark electronic style. He further expanded his musical range with a collaboration on the Killzone: Shadow Fall video game score in 2014. Returning to Wednesday Sound, Lorn independently launched his third album, Vessel, on New Year's Eve in 2015, continuing to captivate listeners with his unique blend of glitched-out soul music and haunting melodies.
