Biography

Formed in 2005 in Stockholm, Lifelover, a key player in the depressive suicidal black metal subgenre, blended post-punk, goth rock, dark ambient, and doom metal influences. The band's discography includes Pulver (2006), Erotik (2007), Konkurs (2008), and Sjukdom (2011), their final studio album following the tragic passing of guitarist and co-founder Jonas Bergqvist due to an accidental overdose. The band's name, Lifelover, was chosen ironically by Bergqvist, inspired by a derogatory term thrown at him by someone he despised.
