Lianne La Havas, the English singer/songwriter and guitarist, emerged in the early 2010s with a blend of alternative folk and soul influences from artists like Lauryn Hill and Nina Simone. Her debut album, Is Your Love Big Enough? in 2012, reached number five in the U.K. and garnered a nomination for the BBC Sound of 2012 poll. La Havas continued to evolve her style with subsequent releases like Blood (2015), which earned a Grammy nomination, and her self-titled third album in 2020.

Born and raised in London to a Jamaican mother and Greek father, La Havas transitioned from her early band Paris Parade to solo work, releasing the EP Lost & Found in 2011. Noteworthy collaborations followed with artists like Willy Mason and Prince, leading to the success of her albums and singles. Her second album, Blood, in 2015 incorporated her Jamaican and Greek heritage, achieving critical acclaim and a Grammy nomination.
