Biography
Laxcity, aka Joshua Mbewe, is a Sheffield-based artist hailing from Zambia known for creating immersive electronica with emotional depth. His debut LP "Catharsis" in 2018 marked the beginning of his blend of high-octane electronica and ambient cinematic scores, followed by EPs "Purity" and "Disconnect."
In 2021, Laxcity released a mixtape capturing his signature sound, collaborated with Moore Kismet, played at Porter Robinson's "Secret Sky," and toured with DROELOE. His latest project, "kinder opposites," draws inspiration from the bass music scene in Bristol and promises to be his most energetic release yet.
