Biography

Valerie Trebeljahr, a Korea-born vocalist, formed the experimental electropop group Lali Puna after the breakup of her previous band, L.B. Page, in 1998. Initially intended as a solo project, Lali Puna evolved to include members such as Markus Acher, Florian Zimmer, Christian Heiss, and Christoph Brandner. Their early releases included "The Safe Side" and "Tridecoder" on labels like (K-RAA-K)┬│ and Morr Music, solidifying their position as a flagship act for Morr Music. The band's sound transitioned to a more electronic pop direction with collaborators like Two Lone Swordsmen and Dntel, leading to the release of their fifth album, "Two Windows," in 2017 on Morr Music.

Following the disbandment of Lali Puna, Valerie Trebeljahr's return to music was sparked by a tour in South Korea, leading to the creation of their fifth album. With the departure of Markus Acher, the group continued with Christian Heiss and Christoph Brandner, along with various collaborators, exploring a more electronic pop sound. "Two Windows" marked their return to the music scene, showcasing their evolution and experimentation within the electropop genre under the Morr Music label.
