Biography

Formed in Minas Gerais in 2014, Lagum consists of Pedro Calais on vocals, Zani (Otavio Cardoso) and Jorge (Glauco Borges) on guitar, and Chico (Francisco Jardim) on bass. Tio Wilson (Breno Braga) joined as the drummer later on. Their debut album, "Seja o Que Eu Quiser," was released in 2016, featuring their first original songs. The success of "Deixa" propelled them to national prominence, leading to the release of their second album, "Coisas de Geração," in 2019, followed by their acclaimed EP "Fim" and fourth album, "Depois do fim," both Grammy Latino-nominated in 2023.

Tragically, during the pandemic, Tio Wilson passed away from a heart condition, but his final recordings were posthumously released in the album "MEMÓRIAS (de onde eu nunca fui)," garnering another Grammy Latino nomination in 2021. Lagum continued to make waves in 2024 with their first carnival block in Belo Horizonte, drawing over 90,000 attendees, and embarking on a nationwide tour. The band also ventured into new musical territory with their single "Curva da Ladeira," signaling a fresh artistic chapter while staying true to their core essence.
