Biography

Formed in 1987, Rodrigo Aboitiz, Andrés Bobe, and Shia Arbulu established the techno-pop ensemble La Ley. Following the departure of Aboitiz and Arbulu, Bobe joined forces with Mauricio Clavería, Luciano Rojas, and Beto Cuevas. The band gained popularity with the release of their debut album Doble Opuesto, which included a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Angie." Despite the tragic loss of founder Andrés Bobe in 1994, La Ley continued to thrive, releasing successful albums such as Invisible and Vértigo. Their Grammy-winning MTV Unplugged album solidified their status as Latin American rock icons.

After disbanding in 2005, La Ley regrouped in 2008 to release Las de Ley de La Ley and embark on a South American tour. The band reunited once more in 2014 to release Retour, followed by the album Adaptaci├│n in 2016, showcasing their enduring musical prowess. La Ley's legacy continues to resonate through their extensive discography and live performances across Latin America.
