Biography
Renan MC, born in Praia Grande, Baixada Santista, immersed himself in the local funk scene. In 2014, under the mentorship of MC Pedrinho J.R., he began writing and performing his own funk music. Transitioning to trap at the suggestion of friend and manager Lucas Zetre, Renan MC rebranded as Kyan, collaborating with producer MU540 known for blending genres.
Kyan's debut track, "Mandrake," caught the attention of Ceia Records, home to artists like Febem, Djonga, and Tasha e Tracie. Now operating as his own manager, Kyan established EHXIS, a music agency and creative collective fostering emerging talent in the underground music scene. His eclectic sound, blending trap, funk, grime, house, and Brazilian funk, culminated in the successful project "UM Quebrada Inteligente," presented in Paris during Fashion Week and amassing over 100 million streams worldwide.
