Biography

Chilean pop group Ciao, formed between 1999 and 2002 with members Nicole Natalino, Tomás Manzi, Bárbara Sepúlveda, and Pablo Holman, released their debut album "El Poder de los Niños" in 2002, featuring Italian pop hits. In 2003, they changed their name to Kudai, meaning "hard-working young person" in Mapudungun. Their 2004 album "Vuelo," produced by Gustavo Pinochet, included hits like "Sin despertar" and "Ya nada queda."

Following lineup changes, Kudai continued their success with the re-recorded version of "Sobrevive" featuring Gabriela Villalba. The band achieved further recognition with performances at the Festival de Viña del Mar in 2007 and a move to Mexico, winning several awards at the MTV Latinoamérica Awards. Despite a hiatus in 2009 and a farewell tour cancellation, Kudai reunited in 2016 with Nicole Natalino and released "Laberinto" in 2019, garnering nominations and awards. The band made a comeback in 2020 with revamped hits and dropped their album "Revuelo" in 2021, currently in preproduction for a new album slated for late 2024, promising fresh tracks and reimagined classics.
