Originating from Porto Alegre, Brazil in 1990, the extreme metal trio Krisiun, comprised of brothers Alex Camargo, Moyses Kolesne, and Max Kolesne, forged their relentless sound influenced by bands like Slayer and Morbid Angel. Their early releases on Dynamo and Gun Records led to a deal with Century Media, propelling them to international acclaim with albums like Conquerors of Armageddon and The Great Execution. After a hiatus due to the pandemic, Krisiun returned in 2022 with Mortem Solis, an album recorded in São Paulo and mixed by Mark Lewis in Nashville, showcasing their signature ferocity.

Krisiun's savage lyrics, punishing riffs, and unmitigated velocity established them as a force in extreme metal since the 1990s, drawing inspiration from death metal pioneers. Their discography, including standout releases like Apocalyptic Revelation and Scourge of the Enthroned, solidified their status as a formidable presence in the genre. Following a period of touring and pandemic-induced challenges, Krisiun resurfaced with Mortem Solis, a nine-track offering mixed by Mark Lewis and adorned with artwork by Marcelo Vasco, signaling a triumphant return for the Brazilian trio.
