Kiefer, a prominent figure in Los Angeles's independent music scene, blends various genres of Black American Music in his sound, drawing from jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and electronic influences. Raised in San Diego, he was introduced to jazz by his father and later delved into hip-hop production during his high school years. While studying jazz piano at UCLA, Kiefer honed his beat-making skills by immersing himself in the local music scene, attending shows at Low End Theory and collaborating with fellow artists.

With a fusion of hard-hitting beats, intricate jazz elements, and heartfelt melodies, Kiefer made his mark with his debut album, Kickinit Alone, under Leaving Records in 2017. Subsequently signing with Stones Throw, he released two more albums: Happysad (2018) and When There's Love Around (2021). Apart from his solo endeavors, Kiefer has collaborated with notable artists like Drake, Kaytranada, and Anderson .Paak, contributing to the Grammy-winning album "Ventura." Driven by optimism and emotion, Kiefer's music resonates with listeners, embodying a message of encouragement, empowerment, and gratitude for the beauty of life.
