French musician and producer Jean-Yves Prieur, known as Kid Loco, is a key figure in the French electronic scene, blending Trip-Hop, Electro, and rock influences in his unique style. His debut mini-album "Blues Project" in 1996 on Yellow Productions was followed by his acclaimed first full-length album "A Grand Love Story" in 1997, establishing him as an essential artist in the global Electronic and Trip-Hop scene.
Since his debut, Kid Loco has released seven albums and a soundtrack for the film "The Graffiti Artist." His upcoming album, "Concrete Islands, Lies & Vanities," set for release in November 2024 on Balagan Music / Wagram Music, promises a return to his Trip-Hop roots with a cinematic vibe. Featuring guest appearances from Don Letts, Horace Andy, Lex Amor, Lisa Li-Lund, Louise Quinn, Olga Kouklaki, and Annie O’Connell, the album showcases Kid Loco's signature blend of breakbeat, groovy basslines, captivating vocals, and lush synthesizers, ensuring its place as a standout in his discography.
